1. Indeed this counsellor

Is now most still, most secret, and most grave,

Who was in life a foolish prating knave.

 

 

2. And, as you said, and wisely was it said,

’Tis meet that some more audience than a mother,

Since nature makes them partial, should o’er-hear

The speech, of vantage. Fare you well, my liege:

 

 

3. Then trip him, that his heels may kick at heaven,

And that his soul may be as damn’d and black

As hell, whereto it goes

 

 

4. You shall see anon; ’tis a knavish piece of work: but what of that? your majesty and we

that have free souls, it touches us not: let the galled jade wince, our withers are unwrung.

 

 

5. Get thee to a nunnery: why wouldst thou be a breeder of sinners?
